Welcome to IDT Biophysics

IDT Biophysics Group studies physicochemical properties of nucleic acids. Our research is focused on the stability, thermodynamics, and kinetics of various structures of nucleic acids, including duplexes, hairpins, junctions and bulges. We develop models and engineer software that predict melting temperatures, melting profiles, folding, and hybridizations of nucleic acids when they interact with ligands, proteins, and solvents. Effects of various chemical modifications (e.g., 2'-O-methyl RNA, LNA) are also investigated. The findings are regularly reported in peer-review literature.

Our mission is to provide the best models and algorithms that enable scientists to predict properties and performance of oligonucleotides.

This website contains advanced, unique calculators that are being developed. Software is stable and tested, but it has yet to be included into IDT SciTools application package.
